Next-Gen Toyota Fortuner Side Profile Allegedly Leaked

Digital automobile artists often come up with enticing iterations of popular cars

Updated on 26.02.2026 – The latest image on Instagram by theindianmotorheads captures what looks like the next-gen Toyota Fortuner. I must admit that nothing has officially been confirmed by the Japanese carmaker just yet. Nevertheless, the latest image certainly points in that direction. We are only able to experience the side profile of the SUV on a truck. The side profile is definitely unique and upgraded in comparison to the current model. That is something we can expect from the new-gen version of the iconic 7-seat off-roading SUV.

Talking specifically about the image, the side section contains prominent squared wheel arches with rugged claddings. These engulf the new alloy wheels rather well. Apart from that, we witness the side steps, which enhance the ingress and egress traits of the large SUV. Also, the side pillars are black and the rear quarter glass looks fresh too. Finally, the taillamps and headlamps also appear quite different to the ones on the existing iteration of the Fortuner. Now, it remains to be seen whether or not this is the real deal. To me, it sure looks like the production-ready version being transported on the back of the truck.

New Toyota Fortuner Spotted Road Testing

Updated on 25.02.2026 – The latest spy images capture the new Toyota Fortuner, plying on a busy road. Now, it remains to be seen whether this is the facelift version or the new-gen model. In any case, the front section is barely visible through the camouflage. It encapsulates sleek LED headlamps with slim LED DRLs, a massive grille, a sporty bumper and that upright stance. On the sides, we witness the chunky wheel arches filled with alloy wheels. We also see the side steps to enhance the ingress and egress traits of the SUV. The tail section is completely covered, which is why a clear look is not possible. In any case, we shall have to wait a bit longer to experience this in the flesh.

Toyota Fortuner Modified with New Hilux’s Front, Previews Next Generation?

Originally published on 17.02.2026 – In this post, we take a look at the details of a Toyota Fortuner, which has been modified with Hilux elements. Fortuner is the most successful 7-seat off-roading SUV in the country. In the last few years, it has reigned in an undisputed fashion after the departure of the Ford Endeavour from our market. Backed by the indestructible nature, reliable powertrains and hardcore off-roading hardware, the Fortuner has become a symbol of opulence for a whole bunch of populace. However, the next-gen model has been due for a while now.

The details surface from trakinauto on Instagram. The visuals capture the large SUV being driven in an isolated location with a wide empty space. At the front, we see sleek LED headlamps with integrated LED DRLs and LED turn indicators. Apart from that, the fascia carries a massive grille section with Toyota lettering atop it. Also, the lower section contains a rugged bumper covered with a thick and sturdy skid plate. On the sides, we witness the large alloy wheels finished in black.

Furthermore, the side steps enhance the egress and ingress characteristics of the SUV. Other bits on the sides include roof rails, pronounced wheel arches and black side pillars. Unfortunately, we are not able to experience the rear section. Nevertheless, I have come across tons of modified Toyota Fortuner iterations from different parts of the world. Hence, I must mention that these are generally customized by aftermarket shops using body kits. The real-life next-gen Fortuner has not been unveiled just yet. We shall need to keep waiting a bit longer to see it.

From my experience tracking the Fortuner’s dominance in India, any visual tweak instantly sparks “next-gen” speculation because the product lifecycle here has stretched far longer than global norms. The Hilux-inspired front works because Toyota has successfully built a common design language for its ladder-frame UVs, something Indian buyers strongly associate with toughness and status. However, the real takeaway is the pent-up demand, enthusiasts are so eager for a new Fortuner that even aftermarket builds are being read as official previews. Until Toyota brings a ground-up update, the current model’s brand equity alone will continue to keep it at the top of the premium SUV pecking order.
